Who am I

My name’s Milan. I’m a bartender turned photographer, a writer with a messy notebook, and someone who believes the best meals aren’t always the fanciest — they’re the ones that stay with you.

The Bartender’s Notebook is my way of documenting the world one bite, one drink, and one story at a time. I travel, I eat, I listen, and I try to capture moments that feel real — the kind you’d scribble down on a napkin to remember later.

I’m drawn to the imperfect. To late-night kitchens and back-alley joints. To greasy spoons and hidden gems. To meals eaten alone but remembered forever. Whether it’s a five-course tasting menu or a drive-thru burger that hits just right — I’m chasing the feeling, not the fame.

This is a project about food, yes. But it’s also about comfort, memory, place, and permission — permission to indulge, to explore, to slow down, and to really taste.
